A jazz vocalist of international stature, Celia Mur started her musical journey at the age of 12 at the Music Conservatory of Granada, encouraged by her father, Antonio Fernández de Moya. Since then Celia has worked with numerous leading figures of European and American jazz such as Bob Mintzer, Don Braden, Kenny Barron, Dave Santoro, Jorge Rossy, Benny Golson, Dave Samuels, Fabio Miano, Perico Sambeat, Vince Benedetti, Uri Cane, and Carmen Linares.

Celia’s latest recording, Simpatía, blends her love of flamenco, jazz and Brazilian music. Simpatía is based on the compositions of Celia's father, Antonio Fernández de Moya, a flamenco composer and guitarist, as well as featuring songs in Portuguese and English. For this project, recorded in Zurich and New York, Celia surrounded herself with a dream team of musicians, including New York jazz giants Mark Turner on sax, Ben Street on bass and on drums Pat Metheny Group’s Antonio Sanchez. Flamenco star Antonio Campos adds thrilling additional vocals to a stunning album recorded under the inspired guidance of Swiss pianist Chris Wiesendanger as music director and arranger.
