Born in Varese, north Italy, but originally from the south Fabio Ilacqua considers Calabria and Sicilia, where his parents are from, as the lands giving him birth.

His childhood has been characterised by the first playful approach to music, painting and writing.

Later, in a degree in sculpture at Brera’s Academy, he tries to find an alternative to the suffocating and neurotic homologation of human beings and ideas. Those are the years of voracious reading: Pasolini, Stirner, Malatesta, Carver, Fante, Celine, Camus, Penna etc., then is the song writing capturing his attention, the freshness of its language. The authenticity of folk music, naturally poetic and long evenings spent discussing with his dear friend and poet Luigi Capelli, already passed away.

Finished his studies Fabio slowly leaves all the other music projects he has been involved since his teens focusing with rising enthusiasm and rage on song writing, a solitary adventure conceived as total refusal and dream. After being one of the four finalists at Musiclutra festival 2007 receiving exposure on the national press, Tv and radio, Fabio is focusing now on promoting his album La Città giardino and writing new songs for the next one; Il Rogo.
